Hit up the river for an hour after work today. Caught the last part of the low tide. A few rollers here and there, mostly silvers but a few were really dark kings. Caught a few silver jacks drift fishing that I released. Changed things up a bit and tried a few different scents before I found one that produced something other than jack silvers. Hooked up with a big silver that took me into some logs. My 6lb line snapped pretty quickly. A few drifts later I hooked up with a decent fighting fish, turned out to be a jack king that swallowed the hook. Some time later I hooked into an acrobatic silver that I landed. Luckily for me, it didn't make a run for the logs. Fished for a little while longer with a few more bites that I couldn't connect on. The last one I let chew on the bait for a good while until the rod started to load up. It snapped my leader on the hook set. Left right after.
