Got to fish and catch up on life with my friend gringo pescador, had been too long since we last got out together.
We decided a river float would be fun, and the Sky was the choice. My wife JoAnn generously volunteered to shuttle our rig so we launched at Sulton knowing the truck would be waiting for us. Good thing, too, as the river is as low as I have ever seen it. Very slow going. We didn't get off the water at Monroe until 5pm! Had to drag the toon at a few spots. Nice though, no jet boats at all. The rivrr is not passable for jets.
We fished eggs, twitching jigs, and spinners/spoons. Mark managed one small pink and we both caught a few small trout. No coho. We did see a couple swimming but no splashing. A tand early for this stretch I would say.
Nonetheless, a good day on the water catching up with an old friend. Can't beat that!
