Had a few hours to spend on the water so I headed to Lk Roosevelt. Launched at Daisy at about 2 pm. Water was glassy dmooth so I headed up towards the chalk cliffs to jig for walleye. Marked a lot of fish in the top 20’ of water in 50-60 ‘ of water. Spent some time looking for Walleye , tried a few old spots I have fished in the past but no luck. Glassy water was now a small chop and that told me time to head back to Daisy. Had a minute so I tied on a orange Kekeda fly and headed back. Bingo - dinner a nice 15” fat bow. Wasn’t targeting them originally but nice to head back with a little success.
Water was a heavy chop back to Daisy and whitecaps showing as I pulled into the ramp. Have not been on Rosie for over a year, felt real good to return. Will be back again soon.

It's nice to know this time of year the rainbows are almost always willing to bite. Thanks for using the Kekeda to get dinner. Glad to hear it worked for you. That piece of water is one of the most exciting things about Fall for me. Thanks for the report. -Dave

Sometimes it's nice to just enjoy quiet time on the water with dinner a nice added bonus. Thanks for your report! :-)
