I met Glen and Cami as they were launching the boat. We started trolling on our way from the launch toward the farthest north end.

Glen uses the Wannafish A Lure Mini Squiddy Thang Pink with gold blades. I used several different lures. The new Green Dragon drew a few views. Pink Splatter caught a trout. I also put on the Mini STpink. But the most looks came after I put on the Gilded Lily and that was after 9am.

I think that I didn’t have more bites was because I had a SalonPas on my shoulder. Its scent is pretty strong and I think washing my hands many times might have been necessary. I won’t put it on when I fish anymore.

The water temp was 59. It was almost freezing when we got there but sunny. We stopped about 11am.

I missed seeing you out there! I was out in Kingslayer, mostly trolling from just north of the city launch to the VA. I picked up a kokanee in the early morning, just after the fog came off but before the sun really started beating down. It was about 14" long, but very dark. I released it safely.

It was caught at 15' deep, about 100' setback, using a small glow/moon jelly dodger with a 2.5" brad's Kokanee cut plug in "Sunkissed" color. That was the only hit for the day though.

Why didn't you keep it TMIB? That dark one was just as orange as the silver one.

I can afford to be a little picky right now; I have a whole ton of kokes in the freezer that I need to smoke. :) I'm not sure as to the timing on their spawning, so I wanted to err on the side of letting it go in case it was ready to spawn. (it certainly had the right color and long hook nose)
