Patty and I fished Hawk Creek Saturday and Sunday, camping in the campground. The bite was pretty consistent. Perch Kekeda fly was the hot bait. When it broke off, I replaced it with an old Captain Andy's Perch fly and the bites continued. Orange Kekeda also produced well. 8 keepers both sat and sun, about 6 released unclipped net pen fish, and many long distance releases. 5/8 oz weight around 150' was the best pole, 2-3 colors on the other pole. We never left Hawk creek. The bays and points seemed to be the spots. Not too sure of the mortality rate of the released fish, those treble hooks are not kind to the soft mouths of the net pen triploids. Tight Lines, Lee

Great report! Thanks for fishing the Kekeda flies and sharing your success with them. Hawk Creek is a beautiful area to fish this time of year.
