Rolled out to the launch about 8 am, windy chilly weather! Dropped lines in the water up near Swawilla on the North side. Wind was an issue so can't really say what our trolling speed was, 2.0 to 2.7 we just put the kicker on the lowest throttle setting and let the wind carry us. First RB was caught on a pink Kekeda fly. Just purchased some and wanted to get them in the water to see how they perform. We've been out several times in the last few weeks and for the most part it's all RB's and Net Penner's that are biting. We have tallied about 15 to 20 fish per day, catch and release, a lot of Native RB's 18 to 21 inch hitting. Marked what we think are some Koke's but they are down around 40' and better, pulled the down rigger's off last week so not chasing them at those depths. I did fish with a bottom bouncer at about 40' and caught some nice fish. Lost the bottom bouncer when the wind spun us around ...got cut off on the prop. Good thing I bought a 6 pack! The fish we are catching are hitting on most everything we throw out, spoons, Kekeda flies, Rapala's, Needlefish, all good. Fishing a top line and leaded lines all working well. Water level is at full pool and picking up some drift getting lifted off the beach, not bad but still a good idea to keep your eye's open. Water temp was 59 degrees on top, most of the fish we are marking are in the top 20' and a lot of the fish we caught I never saw on the fish finder.
