The kiddo and I made our first trip of the year to Keller Ferry on 11/10 and 11/11. Got to the launch and got everything ready and headed to Jones Bay to get started. It didn't take long to have the first fish on, and they kept coming fast and consistent. We got to fishing around 12pm and by 2pm we had our limits. We were using perch, orange, and orange/black Kekeda flies with worms. Didn't really notice one color working better than the others. Two lines on lead about 3-4 colors out and one downrigger at 14ft. Most of the fish came from out in front of the bays in deeper water and not tucked up against the edges.
On Saturday, the kid ditched me to stay with Grandma and bake cookies, so my dad jumped in. Pretty much the same outcome, had a 2 man limit in 1.5 hours, but the perch fly outproduced the other colors and found better fish at 3 colors out on the lead and 10 ft on the downrigger. Again starting in Jones Bay and then trolled upriver.
Most of them were in the 13-17 inch range with fat bellies. Had 2 carryovers in the 20 inch range. Only caught and released one wild.
