Stayed at Spring Canyon campground. Got up at 6am. Launched the boat at 7am. Motored up to the Swailla Basin and started trolling. Put out 4 downriggers at 30 to 40 feet down 10 to 15 feet and two trolling rigs at 100 feet. Immediately got 4 hits and landed 3. Trolled most of the day and limited out by 2pm

Sounds like a good day of fishing! Landing 3 fish at once makes for a fun start. Thanks for the report.

I have been fishing Roosevelt for over 20 years. This trip is one of the best I have had. I am 72 years old, but still fishing at least 100 days a year. I am from Bend, Oregon which is 392 miles away. I make this trip at least 2 times a year and fish at least 4 days except for early this year (April which I caught zero) have always limited out. The change in the rules only made limiting out a little harder. Limited out all 4 days. Used old goats, wiggle hoochies, orange floating f7 and f5 rapallas, tiger and gold/orange scatter rap rapallas with corn on the old goats and wiggle hoochies. There were 3 fishers on this trip.
