PREFACE
well folks, it just continues to get better out on lake sammamish. Sunday was a catch and release day on the lake, which is always a fantastic time. any opportunity to go out, experiment with new gear combos, and reel in some fish is promises to be a blast. Sunday was a blast! Today, Fast Action Fishing Adventures was back putting fish in the boat!
TODAY'S REPORT
Fishing was absolutely lights out today on sammamish, as the fish are starting to congregate more and become a bit easier to hone in on without having to constantly cover water. Lines in the water at 8:15, and after just a few minutes of trolling Fish on! a nice 15.5" fish to start the day. 20 minutes later, we were hooked up again, this time with a smaller fish, so he swam off to meet another day. 5 minutes later we had a great bite that ended in a real nice 16.5" fish in the net. 20 minutes later, same deal! this fish was much nicer, so a third keeper in the box. 20 minutes later, we double up! another 20 minutes, another double!, 20 minutes later, A THIRD DOUBLE! fishing was hot on our troll pattern, but all of the fish were caught at different points on the troll, so we couldn't continue to troll through a school. that didn't seem to matter too much though. we ended the day with a very nice 17" fish to round out a limit. largest fish was just shy of 18, smallest kept was just above 13. (the fish was hooked well and bleeding bad, so we decided to keep him instead of release him to die)
Yes, fishing was great. In 3 hours we were at our limit and ready to head to the fillet board to process some gorgeous cutts.
winter on lake sammamish is a true gem! if you want to hit the water to chase some big cutthroat, give me a call at (425)-753-5772 or a message at paul@fastactionfishingseattle.com!
