Three of us fished Sunday, Monday and Tuesday out of Lincoln.
Sunday we started at A rock and with out much luck, Moved to Sterling Point area and found a few fish , Moved to Goat farm and finished the day there. Wound up with 10 for the day, all hatchery fish, no native or Kokanee.
Monday we stayed close to Lincoln, fished the shoreline towards Hawk creek, What a difference a day makes. Off the water by 1:00 pm with three limits of really fat net pen fish.
We also blamed the Super Moon for our Tuesday bust, Fished towards Hawk Creek again with a pretty good wind from the north. be it the wind or the moon the fish were nowhere to be found, wound up the day with 4 between us.
Most fish were caught on pink or orange squids, Muddler flies and the orange K flies.
All said it was a great trip with good friends, Plenty of fish, wildlife and good times.

If you were the guys in the fiberglass boat that was me that took out just ahead of you on Sunday. That wind was a deal breaker for me, I had intended to fish towards Hawk creek but found it much more comfortable down towards Sterling point.
Thanks for the report and stay after them, it's the right thing to do.

It is interesting you used a muddler. Kind of drab compared to what I used in October. But the rainbows I caught were stuffed with bugs and little small mouth smolts. Did you notice what was in their stomachs?

The muddler is always our go to fly. Have had good success with them.

Great report. Looks and sounds like a fun three days of fishing. Frustrating looking for fish on water that big. Lots of places for them to be and just sometimes not being willing to bite. We always enjoy the company and conversations anyway! I agree on the drab colors, I've caught some of my biggest fish on an olive fly. Sometimes I think it matches that zooplankton their gorging themselves on.

I have heard about the old goat farm and know the area past Sterling Point but for the life of me have never fished in front of the old goat farm, can you give me land mark's of some kind? Would like to try it out. Thanks

I guess the best land mark is the small bay with logs and bouy’s stretched across it on North side just west of White Stone. There is also a small farm on the hill above the lake.
