Arrived at Keller launch at 6:30 am, still dark, so took some time to get the boat and fishing gear ready before we hit the water. Launched the boat at 7am lines in the water at7:15, first fish in the boat at 7:30 on hand tied fly, 15min later my good friend and fishing buddy Tom hits one but ends up shaking loose, action remained pretty steady. Bought some old goat Lures and gave them a try and Bam, Bam two more nice rainbows in the boat. We were limited by noon 10 nice Roosevelt Rainbows. We fished 2oz trolling weights with 24 inch leader to a hand tied fly tipped with a worm and ran the old goat Lures on downriggers at 12ft, colors orange and perch, trolling speed was a steady 1.8. Here are some pictures.

WTG, looks like it's a pretty good bow bite. See any kokes?

While fishing for Rainbows I had one line on downrigger moving it up and down between 15 to 37ft where I was marking fish, fished with pink squids and orange squids tipped with white shoepeg corn and maggots and also pink and orange hand tied flies and came up empty handed, fished in front of goat farm and Hanson Harbor and in mouth of Sandpoil river, "Nothing" not even a bump. I will keep after those big Kokanee! Heard of one caught up at Kettle Falls, one at Hunters, one at Hawk Creek and two by sterling point and that's as much as I know. Tight Lines and Keep Fishin !
