If you are wondering when the draw down with start the answer is it's already happening! The water is down 6 feet since I last fished @ Kettle Falls Marina a week ago! The plug has been pulled!
I had a few hours to burn so I took a reconnaissance trip to the river.
I burned one @ KFM, another @ the Colville River mouth just below the HWY 25 bridge ( less than 12" visibility from run off), another @ Colville Flats, and ended my day @ Bradbury Beach.
Threw my usual Panther Martin spinners to no avail. Just exercising my arms for this mornings snowfall. The wind picked up steadily all afternoon until it blew me off the beach! Storm a coming!
I talked to the fishery guys who were checking the gill nets upriver. Only 5 Pike in the nets today. Low water has supposedly scattered the fish up and down the river. Don't forget the $10.00 bounty on Pike! Do your part to protect our fishery!
