2/21/2018 7:43:10 AMIt did get cold out there yesterday. It wasn't just on pontoon boats...
Tight lines.

Got the opportunity to head out on the big lake again this morning. Got on the water around 10:30 with calm water, no breeze!
First fish was on within 5 min. Nice 16 incher. Bonked it and set the gear back down. Over the course of an hour and a half I let 2 small ones go, got a drive by, and then it went silent.
It was strange, as if the fish new a front was coming in. Calm waters turned into small white caps (a little dramatic), wind from the west, and it dropped 2 degrees. My hands and feet went numb very quickly. Downside of fishing from a pontoon.
The wind died down just in time for me to hook my last fish which was the biggest of them all. 17 1/2 inches, and fat. No later after that the snow started to sprinkle down, and the lake was calm again. I was already packing up my gear. Wish I stayed another hour or two, but my hands and feet couldn’t take it anymore.
Gear used: Dick Nite Dodger (moon Jelly)
Custom blue/silver wedding ring
Scent: frothy trout
Depth: 45ft (on the wire)
Speed: 1.5 to 1.7
Area: Moss Bay, Kirkland
Note: most fish were feeding on smolt or fry. I tried mimicking color and size. (See pic above of bait)
