Walleye bite started picking up around noon and was on and off all afternoon until 4:00 pm. Fish were all caught from 110' to 130' deep vertical jigging. Fished south of Hunters area until we were blown off the lake from a south wind.
Since Roosevelt is such a large body of water to fish I will leave everyone with a couple of good Walleye hot spots! I encourage all other anglers to leave hot spot locations! There are plenty of walleye and locations to share. We will be adding more in the future! Good luck everyone the spring walleye run is almost here....

I agree to asking people not to fish right on top of someone simply because it's unsafe and rather rude. I don't mind if i am following a trail and another boat starts following as long as they don't get so close that I have to adjust my speed to stay ahead of them. It's always a nicer day fishing if everyone remembers to be considerate. Treat others as you want to be treated. Happy fishing.

I do not recall encouraging anyone to fish on top of one another at all or putting anyone in harms way! I do encourage people getting walleye out of Roosevelt and were to go. Seems to me some have a possible problem sharing locations on Lake Roosevelt. Fishing on top of one another! Common sense.... Happy Fishing

Thanks for the report. I agree, the lake is huge and the sharing of spots is welcomed. The fish move, and an area hot one day, is cold the next. I personally find techniques to be more valuable than location. Also, I don't mind another boat trailing me, but if they are going to overtake me they should be the one to alter course. Rules of the Road and courtesy. Again, thank for the report.

It's what you're not fishing for that worries me - Kokanee. Looks like 3/6-3/7 may be a couple of nice days next week - hope to
launch at Keller and go looking for them - will advise.

I am very interested in how the fishing is for kokanee. I should have been there this week, but motor issues.

Yes the silvers are around I believe. Now that the water should be warming with the temps I believe you will see more being caught in the future. We have been to busy up north with walleye. Hope you have some luck on the dates you are launching I am sure everyone would like to see a good kokanee report on Roosevelt been slow for most .
