My buddy and I launched out of Ft. Spokane on a brisk, sunny, Saturday morning. We fished casino flats, outhouse and neighborly with very good results. We caught a total of 34 eyes, 2 smallies and 1 whitefish. We released a 14 inch and a 5-6 lb. hen eye; everything else was between 16-21 inches. Everything but the smallies was caught on a jig in 12-43 FOW. The smallies were caught on a blade bait. Black and red jig heads with 4 inch green pumpkin chartreuse tail worms caught almost of our fish. Casting up on to humps and rock piles produced the best; there is just enough current for a nice slow drift and water clarity is very good. We had 2 five gallon buckets full of eyes that, when filleted, filled 2 gallon Ziploc bags to the brim. The increase in the limit a couple of years ago is definitely producing much healthier fish. I didn't include any photos because I forgot to take any before we cleaned our fish on the dock at Ft. Spokane; I think everybody can picture in their mind Ziplocs full of fillets.

Hey Alan,
We were just a little lazy when it came time to take any photos. The ramp was pretty busy on Saturday so we pulled over and used the dock that's high and dry to fillet our eyes and then get the heck out of there. The walleye fishing should get only better as the water warms up a bit although I heard Long Lake is really muddy so the Arm will be really muddy, probably by this weekend I would think.
