We started the morning launching at Maryhill State Park. The morning was slow we where seeing the guys jigging catch a fish here and there but no one was catching on the troll on the peach beach side of the river.

We switched to the I-84 side of the river and things started picking up as it got later in the day. The first part of the morning we caught fish on gold and black slow death rigs and worm harness. Mid day the colors switched to chartreuse for a few fish then. The hot color that got most of the fish was red white and blue lindy crawler harness. We ended the day with 15 walleye all caught on the I-84 side.

I have nave not fished that part of the Columbia yet so I was just wondering about your trolling speed. Is 1.6 to 2.0 mph the common speed? Right now on Rufus Woods Banks Lake and several other lake in NCW we are having most success trolling between .5 and .8 mph, any faster the bite really drops off.

No the current was pushing us at about 2.4 mph and we used the kicker to slow down and when we got in that range we started getting hit so we stayed there.
