Saw better than I expected weather after work so I headed home and packed up for Rattlesnake.

More rain than I uncountered on my drive up but the main thing was the wind was Downs’s I launched at 4pm.

Trolled to the far end and it started out hot once I got down there. It slowed down after about 5:15pm and was pretty slow till I left at 7:15pm. Lots of fish with a few slightly lager ones with plenty that came off on the way in. Had one really string hit, had the fish on about half way to me and it came off. Felt heavier, fought hard, and stayed down...maybe 14-15” I was thinking.

I caught a few near the Eagles, but they never moved....Happy for that. Gold was by far the best color today but then again I started out with. It cooled down so I moved to Orange which picked up the strikes somewhat. It was next best and also a few other colors also caught some fish. Ty your favorite and see what happens...should work just fine. Depth over Color

Have something dives 3-5’ and something 5-8’ and see which depthworks better. Tuesday it was 5-8’ and today was 3-5’. So be prepared to switch it around when it slows down.

Notice the launch photo’s....you just never know what your going to see at a boat launch. Dead Van, maybe out of gas and who knows why it’s dead in that spot, right next to the No Parking Boat Launch

Thought maybe you got a new rig, and wanted to share. (-:

Sounds like another good trip!
It never ceases to amaze me the number of cars I see parked (not dead) next to the No Parking signs at the WDFW boat launches. I can't tell if these people are ignorant or entitled.
Keep the reports coming....one of these days maybe I can add one of my own! Haha.

I see the water level has gone down a little bit more. Almost wondered out there yesterday myself when I saw that break in the rain haha.
