My wife, my son, and I took my nephew Andrew camping for a three day fishing expedition. His Dad joined us on Friday. We strarted out at Long Lake. We caught lots of Smallmouth and I managed a 18" Walleye on a crankbait. Fishing slowed, so we headed for our favorite Largemouth lake. The weather was clear and in the mid 90's. The water surface temperature was hovering around 74 degrees. We fished our favorite shoreline and caught and released many Lunker Largemouth. We caught them on crankbaits, Senkos, and Nightcrawlers. These fish are so healthy and strong, which makes them alot of fun to catch. Here is my nephew Andrew with just one of the Lunkers that he caught and released. He caught this one on a Shad Rap crankbait.
Remember the thrill is in the catching, not the keeping.
Rick D.

Alright alright... you guys are pretty damn smart, just not very bright. Obviously washington lakes put the wrong picture with the report. Guarantee Rick D can out bass fish everyone of you.

Blake,

I think everyone was just playing around. But if you, or Rick D, want a bass fishing challenge...I am sure there would be plenty of us up for it. :) Besides, if Rick D,or you, can out bass fish us all, then at least it would be a learning opportunity. Anyway, Rick D, great report. The trip sounds like it was a lot of fun.

Oh bring it on Kevin... Just kidding I know a true fisherman likes to bullshit. Anytime, anywhere we can have that bass challenge and enjoy the FREE BEER to follow while you clean the bass.

You mean when I win, you still get beer and I still have to clean the fish? That doesn't seem right.

I have to get my two cents in. Rick D. is my brother and that boy can bass fish. Now if we are betting beers I must warn you. If your willing to bet beers to rootbeer then my 9 year nephew with throw is hat in and you don't want that. The little man starts throwing his senkos wacky rigged and he becomes the bass master. All in all it is great to belong to the fishing community. Tight lines and you all be safe out on the water "Bruddas".

Hey Rick,
Thinking about heading over to fish some lakes in the potholes area, and was wondering if you would mind telling us which lake you had such a great time at. I'd love to give it a try. I CNR all fish so you don't have to worry about me taking any. Thanks!
