4/15/2018 9:28:52 PMI was not out Saturday either, but I was there Sunday (today) I have a tan colored Hobie with 2 downriggers, and I always have a orange safety flag flying when I am on Stevens. Hope to see you out there sometime! Today was pretty rough too but I did scratch out 8 fish. Best tips I have are troll slow right now, try and stay right around 1mp, don't think I have had any bites faster than 1.25mph. Fish are deep right now, but should be coming closer to the surface once the water warms up about 4 degrees. Be on the lake before first light. Stevens in a notorious early light fishery. The bite will stop, and go dead for a period, if you haven't limited, stick it out an hour or two, they will start biting again, just not like they do pre-dawn - dawn. And use God's Tooth Spoons rigged by Reli-Lures :)

Start off with a flat line and one at 35 ft, drop to 40 around 8 and finally 60 around 9 (if they are not producing around 40ft), deeper they go, the tougher it gets (glow/UV, bigger lures, thumper dodgers, strong scent) . The more we get into May.. they tend to stay up and get better for catching. Thight lines!

4/17/2018 9:18:57 AMPcorazoa, just an fyi this weekend is the rowing regatta on Stevens, be ready for a zoo on the water :) i tend to skip that weekend, ive done it once with all of them there, it gets messy.

4/16/2018 10:35:42 AMI had the other red Bimini out on Saturday. I think I got on the water about 11:00, felt the bite was pretty decent until the squall came in at 12:30 and shut it down for me. Only hit 3-4 more between then and leaving at 3:00. Basically mimicking what Josh is doing, little different corn program but not convinced it matters? Sunday seemed similar but the color patterns changed completely for me.

4/16/2018 10:42:12 AMAh Ok cool. Sounds like there was some success to be had out there. I just ordered some God's Tooth spoons. Will have to try those out next time! Also i'm just using Fire Corn right out of the jar. Sounds like I should be adding a bit to them... Thanks!

4/17/2018 9:16:23 AMYes definitely scent the corn. This time of year i prefer bait type scents, later as the weather warms and the fish are more aggressive i like irritants like garlic bloody tuna. Soak your corn overnight in scent, and just before putting everything in the water put some on your lure. For the Gods Tooth make sure you kokanee rig them, or just get them pre-kokanee rigged from Zombie Tinder.
