Down to Lake Sammamish, nice day, no wind, partly cloudy. We started half mile from the boat launch and trolled past the weather buoy. We had one pole with a needle fish and the other with an old goat lure. The old goat won the battle for the day 4 fish to 2. One nice cutthroat was 16" and a couple in the 14" range. Four hours of fishing with 6 fish is a good day on the lake. We had 3 by the time we were past the weather buoy and caught 3 more the rest of the day. The fish do not seem to be too congregated, just put in some time and you will find some. They do seem to bite for a while, then slow down and then you hit a different time and you get several bites again. Several boats parked at the launch with maybe 4 or 5 fishing for cutthroat with a couple of bass fisherman. Talked to one other fisherman who did not catch anything. Sometimes experience pays off.
