Sounds like you know Round lake, though. That has always been a darn nice lake for me. Your experience?

For the past 15 years I have considered this little lake to be one of my absolutely favorite lakes in Okanogan county. It is just a simple circular lake with absolutely no trees or bushes on the shoreline, no structure in the water, and boring to look at. Over the years though it has always produced for me 16"+ and fat fish. I've had friends catch even larger.
We, 'Motoboat', i.e. Wayne, arrived in the rain, with $3.00 ponchos from the Tonasket sporting goods store. Shout out to this fishing and sporting goods business in Tonasket. This is an awesome little tackle store. They have a great selection of everything you could ask for.
Round lake did not produce the fatties that it has in previous years. It did though have a pretty consistent bite going on. We fished a variety of trolling items, wedding rings, flies, salmon plugs, (yes, that was the hottest ticket of the weekend for all trout)
We grew bored I think, with the cookie cutter fish, and decided to hit Long lake, which is right up the street.
Something to note about Round lake is that over the years it has been slowly getting lower and lower... The boat launch has always been not useable due to the concrete ending 30' above the water, and dangerous. Not the case currently. The lake is super high, launch is now legit again. there is plenty of shore fishing all around.. hence, "Round lake" etc. (-:
Check this lake out if you're in the area.
