Hi Everyone. I have only fished Lacamas Lake 3 times this year. The last time Sat. 8/2705. In those three trips and fishing only in the mornings, I have caught a 5 pound 20.5 inch largemouth, a 4pound 4ounce 19incher and 2 17.5 inch 3 pounders. The five pound was caught on a 4 inch senko. The 4 pounder came to a Zara spook. The 3 pounders came to a jig and craw. I love to fish a top water early and then I pitch and flip the weeds and lay downs with 1/2 ounce to 1 ounce strike king and Boohay jigs tipped with either a yum chunk or a yum wooly craw. Colors are black blue and watermelon and pumkin. I have used senkos but seem to catch smaller fish. I fish jigs in the weeds. I may not catch as many fish or get as many bites, but they seem to be a much better quality fish. My biggest largmouth is a 7 pounder 22 inches in 1993. It came to a 1 ounce strike king spinnerbait ripped through the weeds. Other big fish from the lake that I have caught are a 5 pound 11 ounce, a 4 pound 12 ounce, A 4 pound 2 ounce. Those came last year. A good fish is 3 pounds in Lacamas. There are big fish in the lake. Its southern fried Bass fishing here in the great North West. I will take a week off next week and fish it. I have not fished every year. I plan on fishing it more Though. May the Lord richly Bless each and every one of You. Tight lines.
