Tried this lake for the first time after finding nearby Browns Lake with too many Labor Day anglers. No one else was on this water. A steady breeze made casting a challenge; So, we oared along the shorelines. Son fished a nymph on sink tip line while I dabbled about with a wooly bugger. Our mid-day excursion wasn't the best time to be fishing. Still, in our hour and fifteen minutes on the water we saw many fish rising, each enjoyed a handful of strikes and landed a few 7-8 inch cutthroat plus one similarly sized, brightly colored brook trout. Looking forward to trying it again, early or late in the day.
