Launched at Ft. Spokane around 11:00. Headed up the arm a mile or so, started working some familiar areas and started getting into fish in the 15 fow area where it dropped off ridges. I'm not much of a walleye genius, so I reflected on some things I'd heard in the past from more proficient walleye masters. I'd gotten a fish on a worm harness with chartreuse smile blade on 3 straight passes over a ridge dropoff, so I decided I'd set the anchor upwind and fish jigs or blade baits. I got out a perch pattern blade bait and tied it on, but then immediately realized... I don't know how to fish blade baits. after 25 casts with no takers, I gave it some thought and figured it out. From then on it was lights out! Ended up pulling the anchor and trolling up the last 3 of my limit with the worm harness again. Speed on the worm harness was 1.2 kts. Didn't manage any of the bigger fish I've been seeing in reports, but a good bunch of eaters. 17"-22".
Great day on the water for me and my pup!
