Had a fun day today, My buddy and I took the Canoe out to Lavender Lake, but He Calls it "West Nelson" at least thats what his Grandad used to call it when he was a kid. we got to the pond at just before 11am, and using powerbait brought up 6 Rainbow Trout, and Kept 3 of them ranging at 11-12 inch, with one that was pretty fat.
rotating groups of people on shore but I didn't really see the shore fishers catching much, saw one boat trolling, but the boat didn't seem to bring in anything more or better than we did from just playing a few feet off the bottom.

the weeds are pretty high, so finding a nice depth got pretty difficult, we left at 3:30pm but should've left at about 1:00pm. the fish just stopped biting (for us at least)
was fun, and an easy drive from Seattle.
