Lake Sammamish was good to us on Thursday. Falling barometer and weather front moving in made it a little tougher. We had to work for it but thats the way it should be. Caught 10 nice cutthroat in about 5 hours, kept three and C&R the rest. Fish ranged in size from 12-18 inches.

Lot of water out there, fish are scattered, so you really have to work the water and work the water column. Its all about the hunt.

An aggressive willow blade spinner setup like the one in the pic with Sling Blade flasher and worm chunk did the trick. The usual 100-125 back and trolling speed appx 1.50-1.90mph. Smaller fish seemed to be about 25 feet down, larger fish about 45 feet down.

Just a heads up, there is a sunken anchor with rope or something in Bass Bay, we lost two sets of gear on it. I marked it as a hot spot on the map. We were in 65 FOW with lines down about 35-40 feet.

Tight lines!!!
Randy

Great report Randy! Way to hunt them down. The spinner blade setup is cool.

It is damn decent of you to hotspot that "gear trap." Tight lines Bro.

Work the water, work the water column. Relentless pursuit.
