Fished at the docks by the 10th street boat launch. when my brother and I got down there were two unmarked crab pots in the water, I let the kids on the dock know that crab season didn’t open until June 30th I didn’t have my phone on me so I got back to fishing. On about the fifth cast I got a hit but the fish must have short striked or it was a small perch (anyone ever seen sea perch in that area besides the tiny shiners around the dock?) a while later the parents of the kids came down and I talked to them about the season and regs and the guy said that it had opened June 4th, but I didn’t want to ruin the rest of my evening by fighting with him so we just talked about crabing, fishing and hunting. He was a pretty nice guy. As for the fishing it was slow and my brother and I had no action. He was using a black bodied and green tailed curly tail and I was using a pink one
