Showed up to angle lake to get some seat time in my new pedal drive kayak. Fish were marking consistently at 30 feet deep, so I dropped the downrigger and immediately, fish on. This was the pattern all day, as I caught fish after fish after fish. I was using a pink wiggle hoochie mini about 16 inches behind some Mack's hot wings. All of the fish were really small though (average 6-7 inches), so it was a C &R day for me, but man was it entertaining. If you have small children and wanna make some great memories, Angle Lake delivered!

I had no idea that there were downriggers small enough for a kayak.

I just got a Scotty Laketroller to use on my Hobie, works well so far in fresh water, haven't tried it yet in the salt but the guy I bought it from used it in Puget Sound all the time.

What kind of kayak do you have? I've got a Hobie Outback and have been using it a LOT on a lot of the local lakes.
