Hit whitestone during the Spectacle lake resort stay. We havent fished this lake but we have seen some nice bass in there scoping it out. We hit the lake before 1st light and were the first on the water. We stared nailing the bass with top water. Whopper plopper was the ticket for me! My buddy caught some on a topwater walking bait and crank bait as well. From about 530am-730am fishing was great. Topwater was getting consistently hammered by 1.5-3 lb bass. It slowed down and them I hooked into a 4lber or so. Fought it for about 1-2 min and then when it was at the boat I let it dive down and un-hook in the weeds. We saw the fish but still a major bummer it never made it to the scale. It was so smokey we never saw the sun but the fish know when it came up and they shut off like a light. Fished it another 2 hours with nothing then headed out. All bass were C&R
