8/31/2018 8:26:00 AMSomething I forgot to mention. Their isn't a Lilly Pad one left on that lake. They've got it so weed free for the residents and skiers that a fish has nowhere to hide, Great, Great, Great. Probably isn't going to help the trout too much either with nothing to eat.

8/31/2018 10:51:08 PMThat’s been one of my big complaints about lakes around here. Not only is there little solitude because of all the houses and boats, but then the home owners kill off all the vegetation. Then you pretty much have a big swimming pool. I was pretty excited about some of the small lakes by Shelton with no motors allowed, but they’re so barren, there’s very little habitat for fish or their prey. Don’t know that I’ll bother with Trails End or Benson again. Hordes of 6” bass don’t keep my interest for long.

9/1/2018 1:23:42 AMI have seen video from that lake, and I have taken video, that shows objects on the bottom of the lake that catch trolling gear. I have often wondered if they weren't put there intentionally. I almost lost a down rigger ball in that lake.

9/3/2018 10:14:39 PMThat's strange Andy, we dropshot almost the same thing, and my brother caught a 3 pounder last summer. We always catch smallies all the time.

9/3/2018 11:09:06 PMYeah, this year has been tough for me on Clear. I was out there earlier this year when they were spraying the Lake for weeds and they did it again about 3 weeks ago. There isn't one Lilly pad left on the lake and very few weeds. No cover for this years minnows and maybe last years also. Don't think I'll be back for a while.
