Hit the south end of the oil docks this AM. More out towards the shipping lanes though. Bite was good from 630-730, then died off. Caught a little 3#er first 10 min in, caught on double glow hoochie with hi fly, chartreuse glow flasher. Kicked it loose. Hooked two more but both came off mid way back to the boat. One on DGlow, the next on mother of pearl with a homemade insert. Landed a 9#er a little while later. Then went two hours with nothing. I marked the area on my gps where I got bit and stayed with the school, would see them with each pass but couldn’t get em to bite. Changed gear each pass. Finally last pass i got a 5#er on a mini brads cut plug. Good outing, pretty crazy how the bite died after the first hour. All fish hooked traveling with the tide. Find the fish early and try to stay on em.

Was the brads behind a flasher?

Yeah, I had it prob 30-32inches behind a chartreuse pro troll flasher. It was a chartreuse brads with some spots on it. Had it loaded with herring gel.

Looks like your getting dialed in, great report.

Very good report, thanks. I found it interesting what you mention about direction of trolling with respect to tide. Our experience while fishing for coho has been just about the opposite. Almost all fish caught over a 3 day period were caught when trolling against the current. Which surprised us.
