Today was another 5 star limit for everybody (4 people) day, but it was hard fought and the final victory was what you dream about!

Started off 5am from Shilshole, motoring out to our target area. Again, we started about a mile west of the main line, close to the middle of the channel. We puttered along hoping for a morning bite since the tides were right, but very quiet even though we were marking some fish. We had our first hit at 7:20 with a double, landed them both. Another three within the next 30 minutes, so 5 in the cooler by 7:50, then it slowed down.
Lots of folks now fishing by us so we decided to move north and do a big loop around and along our waypoint lines. We finally got number six at 9:40 and it slowed down to a crawl, with nothing sounding and nothing biting. Between 9:40 and noon, we had two hook-ups that got off, and we netted number seven at 12:10 as we were motoring back in.
I was resigned to 7 in the cooler, but hopeful that we might still get our last fish. We saw Adventure Charters cleaning their fish surrounded by a host of seagulls looking for some easy pickings. I said "Hey look - they're chumming the water for us - it would be awesome to get a double hook up right in front of them - we'd even have to show them we're throwing one back because we have too many!" - as soon as I said that, both poles took a dive and just like a dream come true, we had a double hook up!!
Since I was driving all day, I took the rod on the port side and let someone else take the wheel. Larry (Fishing Tenor here on NWFR) fought the other one in and let it go. The one I fought was the larger of the two and maybe tied for largest fish of the day (didn't weigh, but guessing around 9-10 lbs.) When I took the photo of all the fish lined up, the one 2nd from the bottom was the last one we caught - notice his eyes are still lit up even though he was already bled and in the cooler for at least 15 min when we took that.
Anyhow, it was a hard fought day, but as I said, the end topped all ends!

Yeah - the grief police told us yesterday that Area 10 last day was today. Tomorrow it's closed and Area 9 you can only keep clipped coho

By the way, I had a fillet of one of the small ones for dinner...poached in butter with a lemon, butter, thyme, dill, & fresh parsley topping - totally out of this world!
I can't understand friends that I give fish to that wait up to a week to eat it!! WTF?

Fish Washington says 09/16 thru 11/15 release chinook for MA 10. Am I missing something?

MA10 closed for Coho? Reg book say open for Coho until Nov 15. No emergency closures that I can find. Closed for Chinook. What am I not seeing?

https://wdfw.wa.gov/fishing/washington/mobile_app.html
Info was on the mobile app and the guy that counts the fish when we pull in also confirmed that it was closed as of 9/15 for all coho, and that area 9 was open for hatchery only.

I wen through the entire WDFW regs, closures, emergency info, updates, etc...and nothing on there, but I'm still going to err on the safe side and fish a couple miles north.

Youre plenty safe fishing in area 10, as long as you check https://fortress.wa.gov/dfw/erules/efishrules/rules_current_order_by_date.j before you go!
Thanks for the report. Youve convinced me to try and fish earlier in the am.

Thanks Mike! I already have a call in to WDFW. It was odd that it came up on the app and also the dock warden said it was closed.

I called WDFW and talked with the guy that writes the closures and he went through everything and indeed...Marine Area 10 is OPEN until Nov 15 unless there is an update from them! I'm sorry for causing any confusion! Tight lines!
