I decided I couldn't stay away after such a nice day out of Shilshole on Tuesday. I took my friend Warren out in search of some chrome. We got to the ramp at 5:45 and the wind was blowing pretty darn good. We headed out of the marina and floated around till it was time to fish. The day started off a bite slow. I was trying to keep the boat straight with all the wind and Warren some how missed two pop offs. An hour into our day we had another rod go off and this time Warren had a fish on, but it came unbuttoned about halfway in. We trolled around for about another hour then had some action on a herring aide coho killer at 70 ft, , Warren landed the fish and it was a nice buck. I had some action on a army truck ace hi fly, but it ended up being a 23 inch king, it put up a great fight for such a small fish. We threw him back and watched him swim off to hopefully get bigger. We went through a few different lures as white did not produce for us today. I finally found the one they wanted today. It was a green and chartreuse ace hi fly. This one caught our next three fish to fill out limits by 11:30. and we hit them at 65 ft.
