So I really wanted to see if I could get another King or 2 from the Upper Columbia. I have a hard time believing there are no Kings in there. So I launched at the new launch at Bridgeport and baited up with ONE POLE and floated across the river and trolled down by the old hatchery blowhole and around the corner and back and forth and marked a few fish but not lots. I tried everything I had and nothing. It is a bad deal we cannot use 2 poles on this part of the river after the end of August. Not sure it would have helped but it could not have hurt. I changed tackle and methods several times and locations where I have caught fish in previous years and nothing. Anyway, the season is over for the Kings. And I feel like I gave it my best shot. Now I wait for next year to see what that will bring.
