Launched at Fort Spokane yesterday and will fish several days. Yesterday was 15 walleye ranging from 13 to 22”. Today I headed to just above the floating pump out station and started up the Tribal side. I coul not keep the fish off the lures. Using an ultra slow death hook behind a chartreuse spinner was the big hit. Probably had ten fish in the first hour but kept returning the small ones if they hadn’t swallowed the hook all the way or had air sacks protruding. Fished from fifty to ninety feet and had eyes at all depths. Had a limit before noon with the largest measuring 21” today. Weather is beautiful with smoke rising from the water in the mornings.

Thanks for the report. Was thinking of Walleye fishing this weekend. Were you using down riggers to troll that deep?

Is there a limit on walleyes in the Columbia system?

Don’t know about the “system” but pretty sure the limit is 16 on Lake Roosevelt. No size limit.
