Fished Diamond Lake from about 1:30P.M. until 3:00P.M. Within 5 minutes of launching I had a fish on and in the boat. Brother-in-law and I limited, and we each released a couple more. Fish ranged from 12 to 15 inches each with two rainbow and the others browns. We used a variety of different lures. Caught a couple on a silver Flicker Shad, 2 on a 50/50 Dick Nite, 1 on a red head/white Dick Nite, and a few more on a fluorescent Needle Fish (small). Seemed they were hungry! No particular hot spot, but we did troll just on the north half of the lake. Single split shots used and no down rigger.

I cannot find Diamond Lake in wa state East side Lakes regulations. Does it have any other names? Nice catch. I fish in late summer about 1/2 hour after dark. Yellow corn in about 40 fow. Grandkids love it. Nate

Diamond Lake is southwest of Newport, Washington on highway 2.

Looks like you got a cut in the mix as well. Hard to tell if it's a lohantan or west slope though.

The fish didn't look like the browns that I have caught before, and you could be right on the possible cutthroat. They do have a net pen program going on that lake to supplement the state plants, and I am not sure what they are raising in it. All of them still pulled back and that was good enough for us.
