Caught some small smallmouth today. My son was down from Sitka, AK so we went fishing. Had one follow from a musky.
I wanted to take this time to ask all that read this site to please release all muskies caught. They ARE sterile and there is no reproduction process of these fish. Only stocking and it is not regular. They are a magnificant gamefish and need to be taken care of so they can grow and we can catch them again and again. Also, their mouths and vertebrae can easily be damaged by hanging them from a scale. Most musky fishermen go by measurements taken with the fish in the water. A cloth sewing tape measure works great for length and girth. Also, please use wire leaders so they don't end up with a lure stuck in their mouths and starve to death.
Thank You and good luck fishin.
If you see me on Tapps musky fishin from a red/wht boat, stop and say hi.
