I had the privilege of fishing with Bryan on his new Hewes Craft with enclosed cabin and diesel heater. WOW what a boat! It is equipped with all the "goodies" including the iTroll with Hunt; can you imagine that? We launched at Ft Spokane and headed north to fish.

We fished four downriggers and two planer boards with two poles each for a total of eight rods for the four of us. I fished two lead core outfits at three colors and they worked very well. I used the orange/black Kekeda (thanks Dave) and found an orage Dick Night that the trout really liked. I have caught kokanee on the Dick Nights but not this day. Bryan ran a couple of Rapalas on the other planer board and we got some fish on those also. An orange Apex off the downrigger at 35' also worked great. We caught and released a pile of wilds the biggest being 4# plus. What a beautiful fish and he swam away to play another day. We retained 10 bowes for the day and they are really fat toads!!

One thing we found is the fish really liked the speed changes provided by the Hunt mode in the iTroll. We set it up to vary the speed between two and three miles an hour. What a great day on the water; many thanks Bryan for a great trip!

Is that a 190 or 210 Sea Runner? Hewescraft did a nice job on the upgrades a couple years ago. The distinctive geological feature tells me where you were, haven't fished there in a while, but might have to revisit a former favorite haunt next time we're out. Fat ones on the cleaning table, always a good thing. Thanks for the report! :-)

The boat is a 210 Searunner

It's a 210 Searunner, the 19 Searunner is not available with a bulkhead door at the back from Hewes. He opted for the 225hp V6 Yamaha over the 200 four cylinder. Expensive option but it sure runs good. He is running a Yamaha T9.9 kicker tied to the main motor and has a second steering station in the back. He is leaning towards a Raymarine autopilot that we will do for him.

Awesome boat Brisco, come visit the Hewescraft Owners forum sometime. I should have noticed the bulkhead door (smacks forehead). She's rigged to the teeth for more than Roosevelt rainbow. Thanks for a great post guys! :-)

Wow, 8 lines with different lures, that does constitute an Experiment. I have a couple of buddies with a boat like that, it can really spoil a guy. Good Job!
