I have only launched once at Sprague and that was at what I assume was what you refer to as the SW launch. Do you launch elsewhere when the dock is removed or do you just make do? Was the leader that snapped off fluorocarbon? I had a tough start with fluorocarbon until I worked my way up to Seaguar 12# and have been using it for about 3 years now. I need to get out to Sprague you make it look pretty good.

11/17/2018 6:48:16 AMLikewise I always enjoy your adventures with theTin Guppy. Yes we use the same launch when the dock is out. You can pull into shore just next to the launch and get into the boat with dry feet. SE launch is very undeveloped and shallow. I do use fluorocarbon 8#, I know it is light but I think I get far more fish on it than 12# and accept the occasional snap off. It usually is my ignoring the need to put a fresh leader on because I want to get my line back out. Jim

Been looking at all the pink, purple, and green Flicker shads you mentioned, and see there are a whole bunch in those colors to choose from. Can you be more specific? Like to be able to get the right ones to try out. I have fished Sprague a couple times now with either orange or green perch colored Old Goat lures and also a Dragonfly nymph that I tie and have had quite a bit of success on both of them. 11/17/2018 6:59:20 AMWhen I buy them at the store(Cabela’s or Sportsman Warehouse) there are usually just a couple of pink and purple choices. I tend to grab the bright colored ones. I am not too scientific. I have my wife pick out the ones she thinks the fish will think are pretty on the rare occasion she is stuck going in the store with me. Jim
