First off, would like to thank Bonanzamel, Partime, and others for posting reports that encourage others to follow their steps. Thanks fellas!

We launched at Ft. Spokane around 8:30 am and headed up the Columbia. With just a slight breeze we enjoyed flat water as we skimmed to the cliffs about 7 miles up river. We needed our heater to make up for the 33 degree air. We found fish occasionally in multiple locations all around 17-24' in 50 FOW. Around 9:30 we had several takedowns that didn't stick to our flies. I switched from trolling flies (2 single hooks) to our hand tied hootchies with a trailing barbless hook. We had 14 takedowns resulting in 8 netted fish. We safely released 3 hard fighting wild Redbands and 1 smaller rainbow, for others to catch. We didn't take our limit, just enough for a couple of great meals. I gave it a 4 because of the unexpectedly good time we had! We'll take photos next time, sorry.
We called it a day shortly after 1, and were surprised to see 17 trailers in the parking area. The bathrooms were clean but unmaintained due to the Government shutdown. Many thanks to the person who donated the Kleenex box!

Thanks for the good report, sounds like a good day in a great place. Interesting about the depth you were hooking up at. On my trip to Lincoln, I think on the 21st that was the good depth for us but on the 1st and 2nd it was on or near the surface down at Keller. Can't image that the water temp is much different, makes a guy wonder. Think I will probably try Lincoln next time and will have lines at both depths to start with.
Stay after them, it's the right thing to do.

Thanks again Part-time. Yes those docks should be lowered. We watched several Bass trackers slide under the docks before loading. Thinking that since it's much more than bare maintenance, that it won't get done until shutdown is settled.

Did it look like the docks should be lowered? At Keller the restroom was clean but it was starting to look like backing the docks down would be a good thing. The reported water level seems higher that what it looked like at the dock. Must be my leaking memory. Hope they keep it up until someone is available to lower the docks.

They're not updating their website during the shutdown.

No services during shutdown, so docks will most likely remain where they are until it ends. Nice that the launches and parking areas are still open though. Thanks for your report!
