Was honored to be invited to fish with a friend I had not fished with before. We headed out to Lake Stevens and began fishing about 7:00am.
Fishing was very slow first couple of hours then bite started and in the end, God blessed with 10 fish between us. Most fish caught on God's Tooth spoon kokanee trolling rigs available at Reli lures but my friend on occasion was casting a jig at surfacing fish and managed to catch a few doing that. The best depth was 40'. We used 12" leaders and about 50' setbacks. Most fish caught on the new pending God's Tooth egg pattern!

****Update for those curious: in 2 to 4 weeks, 4 new patterns will be available and I will post where on our Facebook page and website. The patterns are: Red/White stripe, hammered copper, hammered nickel, and yellow trout. I have had some manufacturing challenges with the egg pattern so it is probably a good 2 to 3 months out. A surprise pattern will also be available about 2 to 3 months out also.
The God's Tooth dodgers are continuing to move forward and hoping to have those available July or August this year and will update as the availability date becomes more clear. Wish to thank all our patient customers who have been waiting for the availability of these new products! Wishing all tight lines!****

Nice fish. I look forward to using the new lures. The 50/50 gold silver is one of my ‘go to’ lures.

Your God's Tooth lures are among the favorites for me and my fishing partner at this time for Cutthroat on our local lakes. Thanks for the update on your new lure patterns. We will be looking for them once they are released. Incidentally and as suggested by you to me in one of my recent NWFR postings, my fishing partner and I fished the big lake, Lake Washington, for Cutthroat the other day in its north half in the Juanitta Bay area and had good results using your God's Tooth in the tandem configuration. The action that configuration puts into that lure was amazing. I was going to report on it here,, however, several days had passed, the report got old and I did not follow up.

Thank you Sharphooks for letting us know how you did. I'm glad to hear the double God's Tooth setup had good results! It definitely works when targeting bigger fish in my experience. Thank you also for your continued support and I look forward to your next successful report as I enjoy reading them:-)

To ElginFishing:
Yes, the fish we caught recently while fishing Lake Washington were all of the bigger size range, 16 to 22 inches, as caught with the tandem God's tooth configuration. I might add that was with the half/half gold and silver God's Tooth. As you say, the God's Tooth lure very definitely works well when targeting bigger fish the likes of what are available in the big lake.

Sharphooks: Don't know if you fish the salt for salmon, but if you do, definitely give the double setup a try and you can even attach 3 spoons together!
(Just another small tip) :-)

I don't fish the salt for salmon at my age anymore but will pass on your tip of connecting 3 God's Tooth lures together for that type of fishing to some of my club members who do fish the salt. Speaking of tips that I've received directly from you or via your website, one thing I want to try for Cutthroat fishing is adding 3 or 4 flat self adhesive black and yellow eyes to a God's Tooth lure. I think the one in light green as shown within this NWFR posting would be a good candidate for that added feature.

I highly recommend the flat eyes and use them on the narrow end of the perch, shiners, and have used them on the blue 50/50 with great success. Of course, you can put them over the existing eyes for a brighter presentation. The gold and silver shiners look great when placing the eyes over the existing ones. :-)

Thanks a bunch for offering more tips as it applies to the addition of flat eyes on your God's Tooth lures. I will follow up and test out your suggestions when my fishing partner and I once again fish Lake Washington next week for its nice size Cutts.

Hey ElginFishing, when you use god's tooth lures in tandem, how are you connecting them? Also, I assume the 2 hooks at the end per kokanee rigging? I was also curious about your egg pattern. I assume this is white/yellow color? Hey, what side of stevens were you at?

FishingTenor: Thanks for the questions. Our website under "Tutorial " has photos of the tandem setups. Basically, remove hook and split ring from one of the spoons and attach that end to the other spoon's split ring to create a " jointed spoon." You want to choose a setup resulting in the trailing spoon really kicking. Try front spoon set on fast action and rear spoon on slow action. There is a YouTube video showing this in action.
Two hook setup is for kokanee and cutts mainly. The yellow trout is the yellow with spots. The egg is what the fish photo includes which is not black but nickel background. Fished on North side of lake going from East to West. My "How to rig" video shows how to rig the kokanee setup, spoon is set on slow action for that.

Your egg pattern in the pic looks like the lure is black, with red dots circled by white and a red bead. Set for slow action and a single dark hook...?

The egg pattern is actually chrome with pinkish dots :)
