I started off today wanting to check out Fish lake near enumclaw (never been there), but due to the concrete barriers across the launch my 15ft boat was not going in. I'll get out there soon enough in an inflatable pontoon or kayak....... It looks like a great 20 acre stocked rainbow, bass and cutthroat lake. Possibly crappie in the lake too...?
Redirected to lake 12 a few miles away to see if any rainbows held over from last year. Lines in at 2:30pm. Trolled a few laps with wedding rings and spoons with no bites or any sign of fish on sonar. Anchored up in our mid lake honey hole and tried floating a few different berkley trout products off the bottom with a slip sinker. No bites, The wind blew me off the lake by 5pm.
The water temp was 52 degrees and the weeds seem higher and further out into the lake than normal already (for this time of year). By late summer this lake is hardly trollable because of weeds, but that is about the time that the water temp is too high for the trout to be actively biting anyway.
