Took the new boat out this morning hoping to catch a few fish, we arrived at 0630 and on the water by 7. Lots of boats already ahead of us.
We marked lots of fish but nothing we tried could entice a bite.
It could be something we were doing or not doing or just the luck of the draw, not sure at all.
Think I need a stevens kokanee expert to come out and show me the ropes.

Trolling speed was 1.3 to 1.5

Sometimes a nice sunny day and time on the water are just as good as putting something in the cooler, especially with a new boat. The fish will come! :-)

I like the seats on the side of that! Show pics of the rest of the boat when you catch some fish. Perhaps standing with the fish in the forward section of the boat, then on the side, then toward the rear. Four fish ought to cover the inside. Then maybe standing in back of it so we can see the transom. ; ) Basically you need to catch five fish next time so we can see the boat! It will happen. They will come.

Quite a few of my friends were on Stevens today as well. It sounds like it was a tough bite today. Quite a few boats I know that will normally limit really had to grind to get 6-8 fish. From experience on Stevens, your speed is a little fast, shoot for 1.0 - 1.2 with around 12 inch leaders. If you are fishing in the top 10 feet of the water column, use longer set-backs, 75 - 100 feet when the fish are shallow. When they are deeper you can shorten up to 30 - 50 feet. Keep plugging away. Stevens isn't the easiest kokanee lake for sure, but it's rewarding once you start to figure it out.
