The nephew and I headed out to Lake Stevens for some kokanee. I used an Elgin Fishing God's Tooth spoon rigged kokanee style and nephew used his Reli Lures diamond flash spinners. I trolled 1 rod and kept another rod for casting to jumpers using a God's Tooth spoon as a jig with some weight. I am still dialing in the best rigging for that setup and did get a nice bite but no fish caught while jigging. God blessed my nephew and I with each of us catching 4 kokanee and we lost an additional 4 so went 8 for 12. We started fishing about 6:30am and the bite was pretty hot until about 8am when it just died. Our fish were caught flatlining and trolling at 10'. Fishing should improve as the water temp warms. Temp was 49 degrees. Wishing all tight lines

Been wanting to get my boat on that lake. Where is the boat launch and do they charge there?

There are 2 boat launches. One on the westside which you pay to park (unless you have a county pass) and one on the eastside in downtown Lake Stevens (free to park and launch). The westside launch is much easier to use for larger vessels.

Thanks Josh! Maybe I'll see you there and check out your new yak! Weather looks iffy right now though.
