Launched out of Hunters boat landing, headed north of Gifford about 4 miles to try my luck at some Walleye just to see if the bite had picked up any. I started jigging at about 65' of water catching my first fish right away and continued catching Walleye to about 107' of water. The majority of fish were in about 96' of water. The large Burbot I found today was the deepest catch at about 132' of water. The weather turned nasty at 2pm, blowing me off the lake, with lots of wind out of the South! If weren't for that, I'm sure my numbers would have been higher since the bite was strong! Green jig with a purple plastic, tipped with a chunk of crawler worked well today. Good luck and good fishing everyone!!!

Have they put the dock back in at Hunters yet or are you still just beaching it there?
