The weather turned out to be good for the last day of Winter Chinook Fishing in Area 9. Sunny, very little breeze/wind, ebb to flood tides. On the way to Area 9 from the Kingston marina, I decided to work the Apple Cove Pt to Eglon waters as I could see the last day horde of boats working Possession Bar. Eglon has been money this season so started with a hoochie with a spoon, plug lined up ready to use. Trolled the 150-220 FT lines looking for bait, getting to Eglon I put on the Tomic 4"/#140 plug that got the keeper on Friday, lowered the gear to 140 FT in 160 FT, sat back and the pole jumps off the clip fish on! Netted a legal 25" winter Chinook and the season is over!
