Goodafternoon team. Have been up to Lake Cavanaugh last couple mornings and have done quite well. Lord oh Mighty it's beautiful up there. Anyway read some of the reports before heading up there and they were pretty much spot on. For me specifically I ran the down riggers between 15 & 20 feet and clipped the lines at about 60 feet behind the boat. What was by far the most productive combo was anything moonjelly with the Gods Tooth 50/50 chrome/blue 10-12 inches back. Topped the hook with a chunk of nightcrawler and then sprayed WD40 on it topped with a squirt or two of krill oil. I ran one GT at aggressive and the other just the opposite. Agrressive produced more but I had several doubles running them both when I found the schools. I tried to stay around the 40 FOW mark and ran bout 1.1 mph. Most were around 11 inches but I did get a couple fatties about 13. Less than an hour from home, good weather, spectacular views, and some pretty good fishin.
