Finally got the leaking lena out for a bit. Interested in the quiet solo time more than hunting for fish. This is usually not the case, even if I don’t show it, I am usually on the hunt. I traditionally forget at least one important item. You know, no downrigger for Baker, or forgot to charge trolling battery. So for this trip it was no bait and no scent. Still tagged into 4 trout, trolling small spoons and tried some wedding rings. All fish came on the chartreuse seps spoon. Man I have caught a lot of fish on that one spoon over the last few years. It will be sad when I lose it. I have so much gear that I have never even opened let alone fished that it is crazy comical to me how I keep fishing that spoon. Two out of four fish had leaders hanging out of their mouths, that’s new for me. I think maybe folks should use heavier line now that the weeds are in charge. Stocker trout are not line shy? Got to see the bald eagle make some dive attempts but he came up empty. A bunch of geese flew over, noisy as could be, and there were like 30. So when the next batch came through I decided to take a short video. There were only 5, oh well. Went on a hike later with my special lady and the dog, we rounded an uphill cut back and surprised a mid size black bear! We all went opposite directions quickly and loudly!
Also made a sale through my new business venture, first thing I’ve done on my own.
Pretty good day for a Thursday. I’m going to give God the thanks! This is new for me, maybe more for helping control my reactions to the frustrations that come with boating, and fishing. Not too mention wives, kids, and work!
Sorry no fish pics, nothing special.
