Hit Park the afternoon of the 28th and landed only 5 fish in 4 hours, very slow for Park Lake, 14 to 15". Decided to try Pearch Lake got blown off after 2 hard fish. Next morning put in at Deep , Worse yet boated 3 tiny fish, Put back in at Park in afternoon and found some action FINELY!! Boated 7 fish including 3 browns one at 23 1/2" and 5lbs scaled weight. Gave up the big boat the next morning to my buddy's dad and cronies who were getting skunked bank fishin if you can believe that! Convinced them to give flies a shot. We hopped in the pontoon boats to finish out the day hiding from the blow over at Vic Meyer my buddy slayed me 31 to 17 no size 7 to 9" but fun anyway.
The old me had smiles ear to ear when we met them back at Park , Guys on the bank had been watchin them because as they pulled up to the dock a guy ran up and pleaded to find out what they had been using. Anyway they nearly limited out ( got them fly fishin , now have to work on the catch and release mentality ) and another 20" brown to boot.
