My weekend report from 2 different lakes. First lake hit real early Sunday. Got my first bass by 530am. Nice chunky 3lber. Then a few smaller guys till we pulled out at 10am since the weather wasnt great and fishing was mediocre. Bass looked pre spawn and where fatties. Jerks baits were key. Surprised to see water temps high 50s to low 60s.
Second lake hit at 7am Monday and much more sun. Saw lots of beds and looks like alot of the fish have spawned and moved off the beds. We got 5 smallies all 1 to 2 lbs and skinny. Water temps where low to mid 60s. All fish came on open water 4 to 12 ft deep on drop shots. Off the water by 11am or so and the boats were coming out in full force at that point.
Didnt even bring my boat out this weekend since the truck is in the shop, luckily I have a few good fishin buddies and of course we all have our own boats haha. Hope everyone enjoyed memorial day weekend. Tight lines!
